Predict a relapse of bladder cancer by simple urine test.

Researcher from Lyon demonstrated a promising for bladder cancer prohibition. Hence , showing the action of gene mutation of enzyme marker.  The mutation of TERT, as a marker of recurrence, was compared with cytology and cytoscopy. 348 patients with bladder cancer, and 167 patients in the control group. Results showed the sensitivity of the TERT test was 80.5% and the specificity was 89.8% and then no interference of inflammation or infection affected the procedure. What about case of low-grade lesions was 74.3%. This test will permit to doctor or specialist to be focused carefully on cytobacterioligical urine exam (ECBU) and then find out a better treatment for the patients in the right time. Since the test can avoid false positive result due to infection and the displaying result is done by a machine. So a cost for the treatment meanwhile it is suggested to be readily useful for doctor to take in charge and announce the result after test.
