Drug used in labour (deliverance) updating from U.K

In the first stage, uterus begins to contract, initially irregularly and then gradually more regular and powerfully, while the cervix dilates until it is fully stretched (expanded). During the second stage, powerful contractions of the uterus push the baby down the mother’s birth canal and out of her body. The third stage involves the delivery of the placenta.
