Cases of exposure or accidental overexposure to transdermal fentanyl, particularly in children, have
been reported. Durogesic patch color changes were made to improve their visibility on patients' skin,
to better distinguish between dosages and to limit these risks. These changes follow the occurrence of medication errors, especially in children.
