The World Health Organization (WHO) called for serious threatening Gonorrhea since multi-drug resistant (MDR) has been raised in different antibiotics intended to the treatment. Ciprofloxacin, Azithromycin, Cefixime or Injectable ceftriaxone


 The World Health Organization (WHO) emphasized deep study in new drug since the common one seems to be assessed to show a high level of resistance in bacteria. 


Gonorrhea is representing a threaten in many country wherefore WHO is urging to look for a possible development of new drug to fight and promise a long term cure. It has been announced by Dr Balasegaram concerning the tree  antibiotic candidates in the pipeline and clinical trials are promising to output for marketing. According to a report published in the public library of science, 78 million people are infected with gonorrhea each year, including 35.2 million in the WHO Western Pacific region, 11.4 million in the Southeast Asian region, 11.4 million in the African region, 11 million in the region of the Americas, 4.7 million in the European region, and 4.5 million in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Dr Balasegaram and colleagues announced 3 drugs which are ongoing clinical trial and may promise a effective, stable and safety. 

- Solithromycin (Cempra Inc)
Zoliflodacin (Entasis Therapeutics)
Gepotidacin (GlaxoSmithKline)
